I am a 30-year-old woman, married for five years to a man eight years my senior. Lately I have become more aware that I am turned on by the idea of bondage, specifically men locked up in chastity devices. I am ashamed of myself, because it seems, well, pretty perverse and disturbed.
My husband is a pretty dominant alpha-male type. I am a relatively dominant personality, but I’m a bit submissive around him in order to keep the peace, as he will not tolerate any disagreement in certain situations. So I am wondering: Is this new fetish springing from ...

Something that always makes me kind of sad at Yuletide is seeing all the fandoms which heaps of people have offered but no one has requested.
So, just in case there's anyone who is still debating what requests to make, or anyone who is looking for inspiration, or just in case there's anyone who's just interested, I've made a spreadsheet of Unrequested Fandoms which have been offered but not requested! These are all the fandoms which (as of 1683 participants) have had more than 10 offers.
And, for anyone who's interested, here is a top ten list of fandoms no one has requested:

Just finished my Japanese extra credit which consisted of me going with my friends to a Japanese Hibachi restaurant and stuffing my face with something I've never eaten before.
Well technically, I've eaten Calamari before but the professor doesn't know that shhhh.
-----------
So I love Kanji. Like. A lot. And Naoto. And Rise. I think it's all the fanart that sold me so far, but even so, I have a feeling I'm going to die (oh happiness!) when they're all on my big gay team.
LOOK AT THIS ICON. I HAVE MORE. THIS IS ALSO A GIP POST FYI.
-----------
( I also deeply love the extra Darker then Black chapter )
Big art post to come soon!

Watched a German film today called Angst essen Seele auf or bad German for "Fear Eats the Soul". It is a film from the 70s about an old German woman who marries a Moroccan man who is 20 years younger than her, and the kinds of problems they run into in post-war Germany. The old woman had originally lied to her landlord that they were getting married so that the young man wouldn't get kicked out of her apartment, and when she confessed that she had lied, the man happily said "Me, you married? good idea!" and they do. It's a very bittersweet love story and thoughtful, sensitive film about love and race and sex and gender. It made me laugh and gnaw on my lips and clutch at my chest and it's a LOVELY film, if you get a chance do watch it!
The male lead was actually the lover of the director, who took the role as Krista's husband in the movie. He's an interesting man who was so prolific and died such a sad death :( He died of OD on cocain when he was 34 and his lover hanged himself in jail. TRAGIC STORIES ARE SO MOE sigh I'll go away now anyway you guys should watch Fear Eats the Soul. Good film.

- Bold the five-ten that best apply to you.
- Copy to your own journal, with all twelve months under a cut.
JANUARY:
Stubborn and hard-hearted.Ambitious and serious. Loves to teach and be taught. Always looking at people's flaws and weaknesses. Likes to criticize. Hardworking and productive. Smart, neat and organized. Sensitive and has deep thoughts. Knows how to make others happy. Quiet unless excited or tensed. Rather reserved. Highly attentive. Resistant to illnesses but prone to colds. Romantic but has difficulties expressing love. Loves children. Loyal. Has great social abilities yet easily jealous. Very stubborn and money cautious.
lol I know I can be stubborn but I don't think I'm money cautious or that hard hearted lol.

Hello. My name is Luckster. I'm a long time lurker of this community...well...cause I'm shy. I'm not even sure if this is the appropriate place to ask.
I bought a doujin titled "BUGPACK" (Ken-centric gag doujin with a little bit of Daiken from what is looks like) several months ago and am wondering if there is anyone out there who can help me translate the pages for me? I was gonna take some Japanese courses in High School, but they filled up quickly every time I tried.
I'm willing to scan all the pages in high resolution and put them in a Drop Box so they can be accurately translated. I can assume enough from the pictures alone, but I do have to curiosity for what exactly is happening.
Any takers? Or is this the wrong place to ask?

I don't know why I made my Yuletide Neediest Fandoms post friends only yesterday, except that my journal defaults to that and I forget to make things public after I select the com to post to!
Anyway, the post is here and my neediest fandoms spreadsheet is updated, and really, people stop me from making a middling-need fandoms spreadsheet whilst at work today?
I've listed the additions/deletions since yesterday in the post as well.
Argh. I did it. I posted a Next to Neediest spreadsheet. These are the ones that at a 1:2 request/offer ratio or less. I removed anything with over 15 offers, and sadly the formula I used didn't recognise any 1:1 ratios, like requests that were 4:4, etc. Have fun!

I've got plans for January. My friend asked if I was interested in coming with her and potentionally some other people on an overnight cruise to Sweden and back. Apparently some of the other people who have been interested in going would like to spend a day in Stockholm, too. I definitely wouldn't mind that as long as everyone can pay for it. All I can say right now is that I'm still not sure if I'm going or not, depends on money and if people are actually still interested when the time comes.
If that won't work out (and if these two won't overlap) I might participate in a LARP with another friend of mine. I've practically sworn I'd never be involved in a LARP because A) I can't think up a character that would work in the game and B) I've got performance anxiety when it comes to stuff like that. Plus I'm just not all that interested in the whole concept anyway, I mean I really like tabletop RP but that's a whole another thing. The reason why I got into this is that this LARP has pre-written characters (which takes out problem A) and has a sort of an open script. It's alright to try anything once, so why not. And the hilarious part is that this LARP is based on Ai no Kusabi. Yes. Very loosely based, this time the blonds are the lower cast AND I WOULD ASSUME THERE IS NO ACTING OUT OF BUTTSEX INVOLVED EITHER. But still, it's based on Ai no Kusabi. I don't know how well the GM's can write so the quality of the so called script will be a surprise. In any case I think this'll prove out entertaining, or at least amusing. (Plus the LARP will only last for a day, and it would also be a great chance to go visit my friends who happen to live in the city the event will be held in.)
It's also possible that neither of the two will happen and I'll just dick around doing nothing until school starts again. )o)
IN OTHER NEWS I FEEL SHITTY AND THE WATER HERE TASTES SERIOUSLY FOUL.

I apologize if there was a quick and easy place to find this, but after extensive searching, I didn't turn it up and I figured that I probably wasn't the only one who wanted to know; maybe it's just a case of me missing what's right under my nose, though!
Does anybody know how many people participated in Yuletide last year, and how many fics were added to the archive during last year's Yuletide and NYR combined? I've been very curious while watching the number of sign ups rise, and I figured, given the beautifully statistical minds of some of our own, that someone here would know the answer. Thanks! :D
Edit: Got it, thanks to
haku_kaen -- 1597 people signed up last year (not counting any pinch hitters who came in after the fact), and there were 2426 stories written for Yuletide and 142 for NYR. :D

Have decided to combine my increasing FFFFFFFF over Temeraire with my desire for more things to do at Dreamwidth by making a Temeraire comm on there
of course this is a stupid idea because Temeraire fandom is pretty small and Dreamwidth is not very big so it is going to have like three members and they'll be me and Hammie and Elle, but I can try.
Anyway it is here if any of you folks also like Temeraire and like Dreamwidth:
temeraire
(If any of you are on DW but not into Temeraire, you should add me anyway, i am
orm :D)
ALSO HERE IS A DOODLE
